Magoo’s Sundae Cart is a family-owned extension of Magoo’s Ice Cream, a beloved local favorite. Inspired by our love of ice cream and creating memorable celebrations, my sister and I started the sundae cart to bring the fun of Magoo’s directly to parties and events across the South Shore — from birthday parties and family celebrations to school functions, corporate gatherings, and community events. No matter the occasion, we make it sweet, memorable, and hassle-free.

How Booking Works

 

Booking Magoo’s Sundae Cart for your event is simple!

 

1. Check Our Availability 

View our event calendar to see if your date is open. The calendar reflects potential availability, not confirmed bookings. All dates must be confirmed with us directly and are not reserved until a deposit is received.

 

2. Submit a Booking Request

 

Fill out our event form with your details, including:

• Event date

• Location

• Estimated guest count

• Event type

 

This helps us prepare an accurate quote for your event.

3. Receive Your Quote

 

We’ll review your request and email you to confirm availability, event details, and total pricing.

 

4. Pay Your Deposit

 

A 50% deposit is required to officially secure your date. Once your deposit is received, your event is booked!

 

5. Final Guest Count & Payment

 

Your final guest count and remaining balance are due 7 days before your event. You may increase your guest count up until that time.

 

6. Enjoy the Sundae Bar!

 

We arrive early to set up, serve your guests, and handle cleanup — so you can relax and enjoy your event.

🍦 Mobile Sundae Bar – FAQ

1. What events do you cater?

We cater private events only — birthdays, graduations, school parties, corporate events, and community gatherings at halls or homes. We do not sell to the public or set up on streets.

 

2. Where do you operate?

Our base is in Rockland, MA, and we serve the surrounding South Shore area. Please contact us to confirm your location and availability.

 

3. What’s included in your sundae bar?

Each sundae bar comes with:

  • 2 flavors of ice cream (choose from our shop’s selection)
     

  • 8 dry toppings (chocolate chips, sprinkles, nuts, candy, etc.)
     

  • 2 wet toppings (chocolate sauce, whipped cream, etc.)
     

All toppings are in covered containers, and ice cream is served from insulated carriers to keep it cold.

 

Special Requests:

Don’t see a topping you’re craving? Let us know! We’ll do our best to accommodate special requests. For example, if you see Fruity Pebbles on our menu but would love Lucky Charms instead, we can usually pick it up just for your event.

 

4. How many guests can you serve?

Our sundae bar is available for events with 25 guests or more. We’re happy to accommodate larger parties as well — just let us know your guest count on the booking form.

 

5. Do you need access to electricity or water?

Nope! Our setup is completely self-contained, with insulated containers and coolers. We just need an area to set up the sundae bar.

 

6. How far in advance should I book?

We recommend 2–4 weeks in advance, especially for weekend parties, to ensure availability. We require at least 1 week’s notice for all bookings. Popular dates fill up quickly, so the earlier you book, the better!

 

7. How do I book your sundae bar?

  1. Go to our Booking Page.
     

  2. Fill out the form with:
     

    • Event date & time
       

    • Location
       

    • Guest count
       

    • Ice cream flavors + toppings
       

  3. We’ll confirm within 24 hours and send a booking agreement and deposit info.
     

 

8. What is your pricing?

Our base price is $10 per person, which includes:

  • 2 ice cream flavors
     

  • 8 dry toppings
     

  • 2 wet toppings
     

  • Cones and cups
     

  • Basic décor and setup
     

  • 1.5 hours of service (setup, serving, and cleanup)

 

Guest count policy:

  • Pricing is based on the number of guests you confirm at booking. For example, if you book for 25 guests but only 20 attend, you still pay for 25, since we prepare for the confirmed number. If your guest count increases, we can easily adjust your order and charge for the additional guests.

 

9. Can I request special flavors or toppings?

Yes! Our sundae bar is completely customizable. You can choose any flavors and toppings from our wide menu to create the perfect combination for your event.

 

10. Do you handle setup and cleanup?

Yes! We arrive 30–45 minutes before your event to set up and take everything away afterward. We leave your space clean and tidy.

 

11. What if it rains?

For outdoor events, we provide a shaded cart roof. For heavy rain, we’ll work with you to reschedule or move indoors if possible.

 

12. How much notice do you need to cancel?

We require at least 72 hours’ notice for cancellations.

  • If you cancel with 72 hours or more notice, your deposit will be refunded.

  • Cancellations made less than 72 hours before your event will forfeit the deposit, since we prepare for your confirmed guest count.

 

13. How do I pay and what is the deposit?

  • 50% deposit at the time of booking.
     

  • The remaining balance is due on the day of your event.
     

  • Payment is calculated per confirmed guest:
     

    • For example, if you book for 25 guests, the total cost is based on 25, even if fewer attend.
       

    • If your guest count increases, we can adjust your total accordingly.
       

  • We accept credit card, Venmo, or cash.
     

Your deposit ensures your event is reserved and allows us to prepare the ice cream, toppings, and cart setup for your confirmed guest count.

 

14. Do you offer dietary-friendly options?
 

Yes! We can provide one pre scooped container of dairy-free Italian ice or a dairy-free ice cream or any guest with an allergy at no extra cost. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions when you book. 

 

15. How long will you be at my event?
 

Our standard service is 1.5 hours, which includes setup, serving, and cleanup. If you’d like to extend the service, we can accommodate that for an additional fee.

 

16. How far do you travel for events?

We are based in Rockland, MA, and serve the surrounding South Shore towns. Please contact us if your event is outside this area, and we’ll see if we can accommodate.

POLICIES

Guest Count:

Client must provide a final guest count 7 days prior to the event. This number will be used for staffing and product preparation.

 

We prepare and staff based on the guest count you provide. If fewer guests attend, the original confirmed count will still apply. If more guests attend, we are happy to serve additional guests when possible; however, all additional guests served must be paid for. Large increases in guest count cannot be guaranteed.

Booking & Deposit

 

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your event date. Dates are not guaranteed until the deposit has been received. The remaining balance is due 7 days prior to the event.

Pricing & What’s Included

 

Base pricing is $10 per guest with a 25 guest minimum.

Service includes ice cream, toppings, sundae bar setup, on-site service, and breakdown.

 

We proudly serve the South Shore area. At this time, we do not regularly service areas outside the South Shore. However, in some instances we may be able to travel outside this area. Please reach out to us to inquire about availability. Additional travel fees may apply.

 

 

Weather Policy (Outdoor Events)

 

Our cart includes a built-in roof to provide shade and light weather protection. However, in cases of heavy rain, strong winds, extreme heat, or other unsafe conditions, the client must provide a safe, covered, and level alternative setup area.

 

If severe weather creates unsafe working conditions and no suitable alternative location is available, Magoo’s Sundae Cart reserves the right to pause or stop service for safety reasons. In this case, payments made may be credited toward a future event date, subject to availability.

 

Allergy Notice

Our products may contain or come into contact with common allergens including dairy, nuts, soy, and gluten. We cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment. The client is responsible for informing guests of potential allergens.

 

Gratuity

Gratuity is not included in our pricing and is not required, but is always appreciated by our staff.
